The CBSE has taken this decision of reconducting the examinations due to leakage of question papers.
The CBSE held the exam for the Class XII Economics paper on Monday and the Class X Maths paper on Wednesday.
Dates for the re-examination of the two papers would be posted on the CBSE website within a week, the circular said. According to reports, the leaked question paper matched the original paper today and hence, the board has made a decision to re-conduct the examination. Earlier, there were also reports of Class XII Accountancy paper having been leaked. Very soon we will announce the dates (for re-exams).
According to the police official, so far 25 people, including 18 students (seven college students and the rest school students), five tutors and two private persons, were questioned in the matter.
The economics paper has been alleged to be leaked hours before the commencement of the examination, but the CBSE asked the parents and the students not to panic.
They question that why should they be forced to appear the exam again when the leak was limited to New Delhi.
"Being a parent myself, I can understand the concerns and anxiety of other parents as well as that of students". CBSE has chose to take strict action against such activities. As per students, some more papers have also been leaked.
The police are trying to trace the source of the leaked papers that have allegedly been circulated over WhatsApp, the encrypted messenger service.
