Constand remained stoic as the verdicts were read, and only later embraced supporters and the other accusers in the same court where almost one year ago, a mistrial was declared during Cosby's trial on the same charges after jurors weren't able to reach a unanimous verdict. He says the woman consented.
Cosby has claimed he gave Constand 1.5 tablets of Benadryl to help her relax.
Defense attorney Kathleen Bliss chastised Constand for "cavorting around with a married man old enough to be her grandfather". For several weeks the trial was a media spectacle, but after spending more than 50 hours reviewing testimony, the sequestered jury of five women and seven men failed to reach a unanimous decision and the judge declared a mistrial.
It was Cosby's reputation as a public moralist that prompted a federal judge, acting in response to a request from The Associated Press, to unseal portions of the deposition.
Jackson, who was barred from testifying in the first trial, told the court Constand once told her "it would be easy" to fabricate an accusation of sexual assault against a celebrity to make money. While the defense team argued that accuser Andrea Constand lobbed false statements against Cosby in order to gain a civil lawsuit settlement, prosecutors used Cosby's past admissions about drugs and sex and other female accusers' testimonies for their argument.
Only one other accuser was permitted to testify at Cosby's first trial.
It's the only criminal case to arise from allegations from more than 60 women.
In a deposition he gave over a decade ago as part of Constand's lawsuit, Cosby acknowledged he had obtained quaaludes to give to women he wanted to have sex with, "the same as a person would say, 'Have a drink.'" The sedative was a popular party drug before the USA banned it more than 30 years ago.
Dozens of women have come forward in recent years to say he drugged and assaulted them. The Jury also wanted to hear the testimony read to them from defense witness Marguerite Jackson. Constand was also pressed about the almost $3.4 million Cosby paid her in a 2006 civil settlement, which was previously confidential.
Cosby is accused of drugging and molesting Constand in 2004.

Constand initially told police about the assault in 2005, a year after the assault occurred. She testified that Cosby, a powerful trustee at Temple, drugged her and sexually assaulted her when she visited his home to ask for career advice.
Jurors eventually called it quits for the night with no verdict, wrapping up their first day of deliberations into whether the comedian drugged and molested Constand on a couch in his Cheltenham, Pa., home in January 2004.
