Previously, the smartphone was reported to come in five colours - Aurora Black, Platinum Grey, Moroccan Blue, Moroccan Blue (Matte), and Raspberry Rose. The availability of these color variants will vary depending on region and carrier. As per the reports, like V30S ThinQ, the new G7 would also incorporate some sort of AI technology as obvious from the name "ThinQ" (pronounced as "thin-cue").
On May 2, LG will be keeping a press event at Metropolitan West in Manhattan, New York, U.S. and on May 3, a media event will be carried out at Yongsan IP Park Mall in Seoul, South Korea to announce the G7 ThinQ smartphone. LG said that the ThinQ naming convention is created to reflect LG " s goal of "thinking in the customer's standpoint". LG didn't share any spec details or images of its G7 ThinQ, but it did confirm that the flagship includes AI features. In the notch area, there will be a front camera and the earpiece speaker. The rear of the phone will see a vertical dual rear camera setup with a fingerprint sensor just below. Apart from the volume rocker and power key, the handset also features an additional button. This would be similar to what Samsung is doing with its own line of smartphones that have a dedicated button for its Bixby assistant. Well that changes now, as LG has finally revealed the launch date of this smartphone. On the official newsroom, LG says that ThinQ is a brand that reflects LG Electronics" goal of "Thinking in the customer's standpoint and practicing customer's attention'.
