Spider-Man is set to launch on September 7, 2017, and the community manager, James Stevenson, revealed some cool new details about the game's collector's and digital deluxe editions. Insomniac Games has confirmed that there will be three new chapters with new missions, additional villains, new characters, and lots of new Spider-Man suits.
The standard edition of Spider-Man will be available both physically and digitally for USA $59.99 / CDN $79.99 MSRP. The Digital Deluxe version runs for $79.99 Dollars and will include a copy of the game, three pre-order bonus suits, a "Spider-Drone Gadget", five extra in-game skill points, and a related PSN Avatar and PS4 Theme. The developers have used speed, style, and fluidity to describe their aims for the Spider-Man.
Spider-Man swings to the PS4 on September 7. Along with the Punk Spider costume, there is also the Spider-Man Noir costume that was revealed in GameInformer.
The game's cover features Spider-Man web-slinging against a red backdrop.
As with most big releases nowadays, Spider-Man has several different editions.
So far it looks fantastic, but as with their reveal trailer, Insomniac has only used the 4K capable PS4 Pro to show off the footage. Hilariously there's also a fast travel system that involves Spider hopping right on the NY subway, suit and all. With the development time and manpower dedicated to Spider-Man, it has assuredly received more than the average focus a licensed game may get.
One of the more exciting touches is the games use of gadgets, with projectile tasers shown off in the trailer.
The Marvel's Spider-Man Digital Deluxe edition will be available in the PlayStation Store for $79.99. Until then, at least we know when we'll be wall-crawling and web-swinging across Manhattan; and it's sooner rather than later. Alternatively, we're hoping that the fine folks at Marvel and Disney are listening to this and cursing the heavens because a Marvel world is already planned for the game, and they wanted it to be a totally unexpected surprise to everyone.
