"We want 100 points and finish this almost-perfect season in the Premier League", Guardiola said. Can they do it?
Manchester City have immortalised its departing veteran midfielder, Yaya Toure, by renaming a training pitch after him.
Yaya's brother Kolo, the former City defender, presented Yaya with a lifetime season card - in a seat next to another City legend, Pablo Zabaleta - and a framed shirt with the No 316 to mark his total number of appearances for the club.
"When I signed from Barcelona, I was talking to (City's then chief executive) Garry Cook, and he said I hope you can bring success when you sign for us", Toure said. "Tomorrow, we are going to play for Yaya".
'First of all, I want to thank Sheik Mansour and Khaldoon Al Mubarak as well because they've been magnificent for the fans, ' said Toure. Three in six years Premier Leagues, but in this moment just one, but we've done better than the others, we can not deny.
"Now it's one more game (away against Southampton on Sunday), we're going to try for 100 points and finish this nearly ideal season in the Premier League". He lives only a short time from here, and he's loved, from what I felt today in the crowd, and the people in locker room now.
"I have one more year and next year I will be here", said Guardiola.
"We will give him what he deserves, one of the most handsome farewells a player can receive", City manager Pep Guardiola wrote in the match programme.
"His behaviour was good, we have no complaints over what happened this season. A team will arrive and do better but they'll have to do really well".
Captain Vincent Kompnay gave his armband to Toure for the night and was to quick to praise his long-time teammate, who he lifted the Premier Leeague trophy with on Sunday.
