Queen Maxima of Holland is mourning the shock loss of her younger sister, Inés Zorreguieta, who was found dead in her apartment in Buenos Aries, Argentina.
The body of Ines Zorreguieta, 33, was found in her home in the Argentine capital.
She's also a godmother to Princess Ariane, now 11 - the third and youngest daughter of the Dutch royals.
Understandably, the Queen is shocked and very upset.
A Dutch government spokesperson told Dutch NOS TV that Zorreguieta's death appeared to have been suicide.
"With our hearts and our thoughts we are with the queen and her family".
Zorreguieta was a psychologist who once worked for an office on social policies at the president's office.
'I wish them all the strength they need to cope with this awful loss.
Other details about her death were not immediately available, but Zorreguieta had reportedly suffered from eating disorders and depression.
Her father Jorge Zorreguieta, Argentina's former agriculture minister, died a year ago.
She has cancelled upcoming engagements over the coming weeks, including a Baltic tour to Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia with her husband next week.
Dutch Queen Maxima and King Willem-Alexander will travel to Buenos Aires for the funeral of the queen's younger sister, Ines Zorreguieta, the royal palace in The Hague says.
He had served as agriculture minister during Argentina's brutal military dictatorship - a link that caused some controversy in the Netherlands, and led to a debate in the Dutch parliament, before his daughter married the crown prince.
