But according to Barca director director Ariedo Braida, the defending La Liga champions are unlikely to make an offer for the recent World Cup victor.
The 23-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot since Mourinho took over the reins from Louis van Gaal at the Old Trafford outfit in May 2016. "I always give my best for the fans, for the teammates and for the people that trust me".

Barca sporting director Ariedo Braida told Spanish radio: "I don't think we're going to make a move for Pogba, but he's a great player".
"Do you not think they've had a sit down, the two of them?", he added.
Wes Brown expects Paul Pogba to "get his head down and play" despite suggestions the Frenchman is unhappy at Manchester United.
"Forget the name, the history, the shirt, every match is hard". Mourinho seems to be at odds with some important figures at the club.
