Manchester City superstar Kevin De Bruyne has broken silence since suffering a serious knee injury and revealed he's likely to return in time for one of the biggest games of the season.
"I am happy for this additional year", Aguero said.
In keeping with a number of high-profile Premier League stars, Jesus - who at times over the past two years Guardiola has selected at the expense of Aguero - does appear to be struggling for form following this summer's World Cup in Russian Federation.
Aguero is City's all-time record scorer with 204 goals, including the stoppage-time victor against Queens Park Rangers in 2012 that won a first top division title in 44 years. I'm very happy because they have treated me very well since the first day I got here.
"It's nice. He's an important player for the club, not just for the team".
"The ideal is to have a full stadium every time and being behind the team like insane but we know sometimes it doesn't happen".
Aguero was on £250,000-a-week, but the new deal is understood to put him alongside Kevin De Brune, as City's highest-paid players on around £350,000-a-week.
Manchester police said they had opened a hate crime investigation into the incident.
"At the same time, the youngsters have quite developed already, like Leroy, Raheem, Bernardo and Gabriel".
Guardiola, who also signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until 2021, is delighted that Aguero is made a decision to stay for another 12 months.
"I think I will be back for the derby", De Bruyne said at the launch of FIFA 19 on Thursday. "He's one of the players who shows his commitment to the club every day".
"The World Cup I was not there, but they are young and that's the challenge, about what you have done and if you are able to overcome those situations".
