Forecasters say Olivia is forecast to be a strong tropical storm off the Big Island by Tuesday and forward speed may decrease a little over the next day.
Meanwhile closer to Hawaii, Tropical Storm Norman continued to move north-northwest away from the islands. According to aircraft data, its maximum sustained winds have increased to near 75 miles per hour.
"In other words, the major hurricane track, currently, is basically confined to the south of the Hawaiian Islands".
Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 30 miles from the eye and tropical storm-force winds extend up to 115 miles. Elsewhere, we have Helene as a Category 1 Hurricane west of the Cabo Verde Islands with 85 miles per hour sustained wind speeds.
As of the NHC's advisory issued at 11 a.m. EST Sunday, Hurricane Florence's center will move over the Atlantic Ocean between Bermuda and the Bahamas on Tuesday and Wednesday, and it will get to the southeastern US coast on Thursday.

Most models now show the system tracking over the Big Island as a Tropical Storm on Wednesday; however the long-term forecast continues to undergo revisions as new data is evaluated with each update.
The storm was downgraded to a Category 3 this morning, but in its latest warning, the National Weather Service said it was again a category four, with winds as high as 200kph at its centre.
The storm was expected to bring rain and high surf rising to rise up to 18 feet on east-facing shores of Hawaii Island and Maui.
