Amid mounting tabloid reports of tense moments between brothers Prince William and Prince Harry's wives, Kensington Palace has issued a rare statement, of denial, in response to a Saturday story by The Sun.
On Saturday, the British publication ran with another story that Kate and Meghan had an explosive row over the treatment of the Duchess of Cambridge's staff.
"Wills particularly was anxious and felt close enough to Harry to voice his thoughts".
It had been believed just days ago that William and Kate would be spending Christmas with her family in Bucklebury, with Middleton's mother, Carole Middleton, having revealed that she was prepping her house for the royal family.
A source close to the Princes told Vanity Fair this would have been "unthinkable" two years ago and added: "A lot has changed".
They also claimed Harry "felt William wasn't rolling out the red carpet for Meghan".
Samantha, who is said to be working on a tell-all book about her pregnant half-sister, seized on the titillating reports presenting the former Suits star-turned-royal in an unfavorable light.
Royal correspondent Richard Palmer has written, "It is clear that Meghan is regarded as hard and demanding by some in the family and on the staff".
But they have chosen to join the Queen which is likely to be interpreted by royal watchers as a sign of unity.
According to a book by reporter Richard Jobson, a royal source revealed 37-year-old Meghan wanted to wear a tiara which featured emeralds, but there were concerns it might have come from Russian Federation. "Doria will be involved and if she's involved she will be encouraging Meg to go for a natural birth".
In 2008, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, was at a royal engagement when he was gifted a game of Monopoly, however he had to decline the gift and said he can't play it in his family "because it gets too vicious".
